Having acquired the Old Orleans and Quinceys branded bar/restaurants
from Punch Taverns in September 2006 Regent had no hesitation in extending
its use of Zonal hardware and software to its new venues.
The 29 site Old Orleans chain provides an American-style dining experience based on the spirit of New Orleans. Along with the two Quinceys venues, this acquisition has extended Regent Inns estate throughout high street and retail/leisure park locations across the UK.
The roll out, which was completed today, installed approximately six Z509 EPoS terminals in each outlet at a rate of four outlets per day. In support of the installation, Old Orleans and Quinceys staff have been trained at our custom built training suite in Abingdon, Oxfordshire and our Data Bureau team assisted Regent Inns in the initial system configuration, ensuring that all their data and business models were set up correctly from the start.
Regent Inns decided to install Zonals mobile Chip and PIN devices in every venue. These devices are integrated into the core system allowing customers to pay off their accounts without leaving their table. Regent Inns expect this will speed up transaction times as well as enhance customer service.
Regent Inns are investing more than £400,000 in this project and are confident that this is a lucrative investment. Adam South, Regent Inns Head of IT said Zonal has provided us with leading-edge EPoS software and hardware solutions for many years. The software is feature-rich, while still being easy-to-use. By building on our relationship with Zonal we will continue to benefit from the excellent customer service that we have had in the past.
