19-09-08 Zonal support for the Great British Pub Awards

Zonal continued its tradition of supporting the UK Pub industry by sponsoring a category of the newly launched MA Top 100 Awards for Independent Multiple Retailers.

Held at the prestigious Park Lane Hilton in London on 18th September 2008, the event attracted some of the biggest names in the industry and celebrated the success of some of the most innovative and high performing people in the pub business today.

Martina Baletkova, Zonal's Sales & Marketing Director, presented the award for Winners of the "Best Individual" category.

Martina is pictured with winners Paul Salisbury and Paul Hales (founders of Lovely Pubs and Mitchells & Butlers consultants) and Andrew Pring (far right) Editor of the Morning Advertiser.

The winning pair run their own groups of six outlets and have overseen the rollout of M&B's gastropub project. They have now helped M&B roll out 49 sites in less than five years. Their latest pub, the Farm, in Monkspath, Solihull now takes up to £60,000 per week; a massive improvement from takings of only £4,000 a week when they first took it on.

Many other awards were presented on the evening and Zonal would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the winners.
