13-11-08 Zonal sponsor the Food Pub Company of the Year and present the winners trophy to St Austell Brewery - winners for the second consecutive year!

On 11 November, 2008 ‘The Food and Drink Awards’ ceremony recognised and congratulated the pub trade’s finest food and drink establishments.
The event celebrated the most accomplished and professional pub operators at a time when the industry is feeling the pressure from both the weight of regulation and the credit crunch. Caroline Nodder, editor of ‘The Publican’, said their aims were to “recognise the achievements of a much wider range of pubs”.
The ceremony was hosted by comedian Michael McIntyre and the event culminated in 20 awards, with outstanding pubs, pub companies, licensees and staff rewarded for their remarkable achievements in pub retailing.
Zonal demonstrated its support for the pub industry and highlighted the growing influence of food on the pub trade by sponsoring ‘Food Pub Company of the Year’.
