10-08-09 Zonal is getting a full house with Hall & Woodhouse

Zonal has been appointed by one of its existing customers, Hall & Woodhouse, to finalise the implementation of Zonal's Aztec Management System across their estate of 61 managed pub houses. When the roll-out is completed all managed houses will be using the Zonal solution.

This is a key strategic activity for Hall & Woodhouse in 2009 as it allows their management team to consolidate its operations and tighten control in the most important areas of their business.

In the past Hall & Woodhouse was operating basic electronic tills but decided they would benefit from a more sophisticated EPoS system. Having evaluated a number of alternative systems it was concluded that Zonal’s Aztec food and beverage management solution was best suited to their business model. Reliability was one of the key factors for choosing the Zonal solution as the new system needed to be able to handle every pub’s busiest trading periods.

Martin Scott, the Financial Director at Hall & Woodhouse, had already experienced Zonal’s reliability in the past and knew that both Zonal software and hardware were very robust.

Mr. Scott has no doubt that Hall and Woodhouse will be able to realise substantial benefits and cost reductions in a very short time frame. "The system will certainly give us a rapid payback. But most important to us is actually the fact that the system works. The cost of the Zonal system pales into insignificance compared to the cost of a till system going down on a busy Sunday lunchtime.”
