24-05-10 Zonal upgrade Orchid's 38 new venues to Aztec

 

At the end of 2009, Orchid bought 38 venues from the administrators of Premium Bars and Restaurants.

Increasing Orchid’s estate to 288, these new sites include thirteen Living Room sites, four Bel & The Dragon food-led pubs and three Prohibition bars.

Naturally, Orchid opted to replace the old EPoS hardware and software in these new sites with Zonal’s Aztec Management System, installing Z509 terminals to match the Zonal hardware in the rest of its estate.

Zonal achieved Orchid's deadline by rolling out the latest Aztec version 2.9.3.2 to all sites within the planned 3 weeks and 1 day by installing 3 sites per day. Orchid set up training rooms to train all their new staff and Zonal provided hotstage, installation and go-live support. To ensure that the Orchid Group could review the performance of the new sites, they were also set up with Dimensions Reporting software.
