Why are we moving?

As Zonal continues to expand, the time has come to move to larger premises to enable us to increase production and allow us to store more service stock to better support our larger client base.

Our new premises are being designed exactly for our purposes with enough capacity for future growth. Many eco-friendly features such as solar panels and energy efficient heating systems are included to significantly reduce our carbon footprint.

Where are we going?

We are locating in Scotland's largest new town in a thriving industrial estate. We will soon be located 5 minutes from the M8 motorway, 15 miles from Edinburgh and 35 miles from Glasgow, a position that is sure to provide logistical benefits for us and our clients.

When will we be there?

Our state-of-the-art facility has being extensively renovated by our Edinburgh Office team and external contractors as appropriate and will be open for business on Monday October 17th.

We are building four workshops for manufacturing, repair centre, hot staging and shipping along with office space, kitchen, meeting rooms and a dedicated IT server room. The stores will be much larger, allowing us to use storage racking up to six metres in height and this has been designed for fork lift truck use.

The roof has been replaced and all of the heating and electrics are being replaced also. The workshop areas will be air conditioned to provide a constant temperature and a comfortable working environment.

Our new building has the most modern and energy efficient systems installed to minimise our running costs and reduce our carbon footprint. With this in mind, on our roof we have installed one of the largest private solar electricity generation systems around, which should generate about 75% of our electricity needs.

With the welfare of our employees in mind, we are installing a modern kitchen with vending, constant boiling water and a plumbed-in drinking water machine. Our toilet facilities are modern and stylish and we are also providing a shower room with lockers on site.
