National pub operator JD Wetherspoon has opened a new pub, The Atrium, at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) in Birmingham, using Zonal's leading hardware and software.
The NEC is Europe's busiest exhibition centre, attracting more than four million visitors a year.
Zonal has supplied seven of its Z309 terminals, as well as a new and innovative eight screen kitchen management system to ensure rapid speed of customer ordering, food service and delivery between the bar and the kitchen.
The Z309 terminals are all fitted with fully integrated magnetic swipe card readers, to speed up credit card transactions. They can also be programmed to take a wide range of international currencies, including the Euro.
The company's Managing Director Stuart McLean, said: " We are proud that our EPoS terminals are in use at the NEC, a venue that has an unrivalled reputation across Europe."
" The Atrium is certain to prove popular with visitors to the exhibitions and shows at the NEC and we are delighted that Zonal terminals have been chosen for use there."
JD Wetherspoon Chief Executive John Hutson said: " This is the first Wetherspoon pub to open within an exhibition centre and it is a good addition to the facilities already on offer."
Zonal provided a full training programme to the management and staff of The Atrium and will continue to provide an ongoing support programme.
Zonal offers 365-day service with support, innovative terminal design, intuitive software, combined with first-class reliability, all backed by our award-winning Helpcentre.
