Being easy-to-use is the key because restaurant staff must be able to get up-to-speed with serving customers quickly. To help you maximise your sales opportunities Zonal now offer a powerful handheld EPoS terminal that allows your staff to take orders directly from tables. As orders are taken, the handheld prevents staff from selecting items that are out-of-stock and prompts for up-selling opportunities relevant to a particular order, for example, a portion of garlic bread, an extra roll with the soup, a side order of chips. Orders are transmitted to the bar in real-time allowing waiting staff to service orders in a fraction of the time. The handheld enables you to adopt a European cafe style ordering system while still taking advantage of our advanced EPoS program. Staff can manage tables directly from the terminal - including allocating bills to tables, entering covers, table transfers and split bills.
As Zonal's handheld solution uses the same EPoS program as our static terminals, you will not lose time training up staff. Site restaurant managers (if configured to do so) can add customised panels for the EPoS terminals and the Handheld EPoS terminals enabling sites to add regional dishes and specialities to the product list and price them accordingly. In fact, with the bolt on magnetic card reader, you can use the handheld to take payments from customers at the table helping to maximise the turnaround of customers.

Aztec Human Resources gives you complete control of staffing. The Staff Scheduler enables site managers to assign staff different jobs on different days as required. Your staff rota can be defined several weeks in advance and the security option allows you to prevent staff from changing their job type on clock in.
Managers can review table reports that enable them to monitor key issues, for example speed of service, for every cover. Armed with detailed information, managers can ensure all customers are attended to appropriately. For flexibility, you can have variable menus at the terminal, easy-to-change manager's menus and open keys for flexible pricing.
As standard, Zonal EPoS terminals are fitted with an integral magnetic stripe reader for credit and debit cards and our EFT system is approved by all the major banks and clearing houses. However, in an age when credit card fraud is on the increase, Zonal can protect you and your customers from fraud with the addition of Chip and PIN devices.
