Zonal’s R&D department is a key component in the company’s mission to change the face of the UK hospitality industry. The R&D team is responsible for the design and delivery of the innovative software and hardware projects required to meet the company’s goals and ambitions.
The department incorporates the full software development life cycle, including Product Management, Business Analysis, Development and QA.
Product Management provide the strategic direction for all our developments. They consolidate requirements from existing customers and market trends into our product strategy to drive the product roadmaps.
Business Analysis provide the link between customers and delivery. They work directly with customers and the Product Management team to understand the end user requirements allowing them to provide the right level of detail to the delivery teams.
Working in an agile framework our Software Delivery teams are focussed on turning the product vision into reality. The Software Delivery teams are a cross discipline mix of development and QA, working closely together to deliver high quality products. Our teams follow software development best practises using cutting edge technologies.
The Hardware Development team manage the introduction of new hardware and support of existing hardware products. They are involved in the full lifecycle from component selection through to manufacturing and field maintenance.
Technical Authoring are responsible for the delivery of the information required to support our hardware and software products. The content delivery spans printed documents through to online portals and is focussed on both internal and end user consumers.
