News: Zonal Partners with new Charity – Only a Pavement Away
Zonal is proud to announce a new charity partnership with Only a Pavement Away, to support those living on the streets find employment in the hospitality industry.
The initial contract is to supply Aztec EPoS systems into the group’s new sites, with the most recent being Grand Central Birmingham and Westgate Oxford, with further restaurants planned for Leeds, Nottingham and Cardiff.
Mowgli was founded in 2014 by former Barrister, Nisha Katona, who had a vision to build a chain of restaurants serving the kind of food Indians eat at home and on their streets.
The restaurant group, which currently has five locations, was seeking a technology partner with the capability to provide an integrated end to end solution from online reservations to feedback and loyalty.
In a competitive pitch, Zonal stood out for the quality of its products and strong track record in the sector.
Zonal’s standing in the hospitality sector is second to none and has the edge on the competition in terms of product offer.
“We are still a small business, but with private equity backing we are looking to launch Mowgli in many more UK cities over the coming years and wanted to appoint a technology provider that could grow with us. Zonal was also appealing because it remains a family firm, sharing our values with valuable sector knowledge and experience” Matthew Peck, Mowgli finance director
Although early days, Matthew believes Mowgli is already reaping the benefits of Zonal’s Aztec offering central control and better visibility of what’s happening in the business.
“We are very pleased with the reliability of the system and the support we are receiving. Our teams have also found Aztec very easy to use, which is another bonus.”
