Chief Executive Officer (Interim)
Jesper joined Zonal as Interim CEO in February 2026, after Volaris’s acquisition of the business. With more than 18 years in senior leadership roles at Volaris, Jesper has held senior roles across finance and customer care, and served as CFO and GM of multiple software businesses within Volaris. Now, as CEO of Zonal he will help set up the business for long-term success by focussing on what it does best – driving innovation and growth to help our customers thrive.
Joel Chapman
Chief Operations Officer
Since joining Zonal in 2002, Joel, as CCO, led our Account management teams for Zonal’s large enterprise customers, always ensuring the highest possible standards of customer care and support and embedding our ‘customer first’ approach throughout the company. Now, as COO, Joel leads our vital, front-line, customer-facing operational teams which include our Helpcentre, Professional Services and Engineers, and our logistics and repairs centre.
Tim Chapman
Chief Commercial Officer
Since joining Zonal in 2013, Tim has been passionate about helping our hospitality customers improve the guest experience and drive better efficiencies and profits for their businesses. Adept at building a strong, long-lasting partnership approach to customer relationships, Tim excels at understanding and solving even the most complex of enterprise challenges. As CCO, Tim leads our sales, marketing and partnership teams.
Max Gee
Chief Customer Officer
With a passion for excellence in customer service, Max leads the Account Services department supporting Zonal’s customers large and small with a specialised and highly-experienced team of Account Managers. Since joining Zonal in 2012, Max has worked in key customer-facing roles leading to his appointment as Chief Customer Officer in September 2023.
Kris Rushton
Chief Financial Officer
Kris joined the Zonal finance team in 2016 and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2023 in recognition of his talent and passion for fostering collaboration between finance and other departments and skill in driving cross-functional teams to achieve common financial goals. With his deep understanding of the business and his financial expertise, Kris will continue to play a pivotal role in Zonal’s continued growth and achievements.
Steve Roberts
Managing Director, akru
With more than 40 years of experience as CEO, leading EPoS technology provider, Comtrex, Steve is now the MD of akru, the Zonal-backed EPoS app for small and medium operators that launched in June 2024. His deep understanding of the hospitality sector, and of the needs of operators large and small, makes him the perfect fit to create and shape this new EPoS app now and in the future.
