Zonal Table Management Workshop

Our Table Management Workshop is a comprehensive, full day course, held in-house at your business or at one of our sites in Edinburgh or Oxfordshire (see our offices) with one of our LPI accredited trainers.

By the end of this Table Management Workshop you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of editing turn times, capacity and table joins, as well as managing table reservations, waitlists and how to maximise capacity. At the end of each section you will have a measurement activity to ensure you have fully understood the course content and successfully gained experience on using the liveRES Tables system. We can also will be on-hand to make any amendments to the initial configuration should we find you need it.

Who is this course suitable for

This course is designed for new users of Zonal’s liveRES Tables or existing users looking to get more out of their current table management system.

What should you bring with you

You will need a mobile device or laptop to run liveRES Tables, as well as historical bookings in an easy-to-read format.

What you will learn

System Administration (for Managers)

How to edit trading hours, turn times to maximise covers during busy periods, and table joins to accommodate guests and availability of tables. You will also learn how to put best practise controls in place to ensure that liveRES Tables is being used as efficiently as possible.

EPoS integration (if applicable)

How to seat walk-in guests to assigned or unassigned tables, view and change the booking status, view what meal stage the guest is at, check the guest bill and how to mark a customer as finished.

Reservations

How to add a reservation, add a booking for a specific date and timeslot, add booking notes to a reservation and mark a booking as a no-show or cancelled. We will also coach you on how to migrate across old bookings onto your new liveRES Tables system.

Waitlist

How to add and manage waitlists effectively, how to view the countdown of when a table is available and ensure customers are kept informed during busy periods.

Seating guests

How to seat guests on arrival, move, merge and put guests into a holding area if they arrive early and track the stages of their visit.

Capacity management

How to manage and optimise capacity, using the ‘shuffle’ and ‘suggest’ functions allowing you to shuffle your bookings to accommodate extra bookings during busy periods.

Introduction to Acquire - Head Office

In this Introduction to Acquire training course you will learn how to use the basic functions of Acquire head office including; creating delivery schedules, creating outlets, groups and tags, uploading catalogues and availability and managing par levels.

The online training course consists of a variety of interactive modules, how to videos and downloadable quick reference guides. At the end of the course you will undertake a knowledge check to ensure you have a full understanding of the modules.

This is an online, e-learning training course that you can do at a time and location to suit you. We also offer this training course as a face-to-face course, delivered by our expert trainers either in Edinburgh, Oxfordshire (see our offices) or at a location and time to suit you. Our face-to-face training can also be fully customised to help you get the most out of your Acquire purchase-to-pay solution.

What you will learn

  • How to manage outlets, groups and tags. Learn how to group outlets for easier system management and identification and how to add tags to products to link them to specific sites or suppliers.

EPoS for New Users

Our Zonal EPoS workshop is a face to face full day workshop with one of our certified trainers. By the end of this training workshop, learners will be able to demonstrate an understanding of; basic terminal use, controlling audit trails, financial inputting and identifying business performance.

This course can be delivered in our offices in Edinburgh or Abingdon, or at a location and time to suit you. Our face-to-face training can also be fully customised to help you get the most out of your EPoS system.

What you will learn

Module 1: Staff and Security

Within this module users will be created on both the front and back of house applications. Different job roles and positions will be given, providing head office staff with a clear audit trail.

Module 2: POS Terminals

The terminals are used by the main front of house users; functions trained will include sales, promotions, discounts, corrections and payments. Management functions trained include; Stock mode, Spot Checks and Reports.

Module 3: Terminals

The terminals are used by the main front of house users; functions trained on will include sales, promotions, discounts, corrections and payments on the POS terminal. Management functions trained include; Stock mode, Spot Checks and Reports, before you can begin to use the terminal for sales you will need to log on and or clock in.

Module 4: Finance

Daily accounting information will enable you to gain a snapshot of how your business is performing. Training will include coaching on financial controls such as Declarations, Safe Counts and Banking, as well as looking at troubleshooting and investigating variances.

Module 5: Dimensions Reporting

Within this module, we will give you an overview of our powerful reporting suite that offers full visibility of sales, financial activity, product management and employee behaviour. Trained features include creation of favourite reports, exporting and emailing reports and filter lookups.

Learn how to create and manage page layouts, product types, recipe and line items, portions and stock units. You will learn about the different product types, best practice methods and the creation of different products dependant on portion sizes.
  • How to use the pricing module, complete price changes, add a price band, add future price increases and create supplement banding charging for choices.
  • How to control the design and layout of your EPoS system with Zonal’s theme modelling module. Learn the basic functionality of themes, site set up, estate set up, panels and adding buttons. How to add products to panels including security, estate structures and how to send back to the POS.
